Reconciling a mill invoice
Mill invoices list boards individually with T × W × L per row. Type each row into the batch calculator, then compare your total to the invoice total. Any gap larger than 1–2% usually points to a tally error on either side.
Random-width hardwood pack
A hardwood pack has boards in every conceivable width. Add each unique width as its own row (with quantity), and the total tells you what you actually got — not what the shipping label estimated.
Cut list from a project plan
A furniture plan lists 8 legs (8/4 × 3" × 30"), 4 stretchers (5/4 × 3" × 24"), 1 top blank (8/4 × 30" × 78"). Add each as a row using inches for the short dimensions; batch mode handles them all consistently.
Aggregating a delivery over multiple days
Big deliveries come in batches. Keep the tab open, add each truck's manifest as new rows, and hit the final total at week's end.

What's the row limit?
None enforced. All calculation runs in your browser — you can add hundreds of rows without any server round-trip.
Can I export the list?
Not built in yet. Take a screenshot for a quick record, or copy the visible list into a note. A CSV export is on the roadmap.
Can I mix units (inches and feet)?
All lengths are in feet here — enter fractions of a foot for inches (10" = 0.833'). For a full unit-flexible calculator, use the main calculator's Batch tab.
Does it save the list if I refresh?
No — the page runs entirely offline in your browser and doesn't persist. Bookmark this URL and re-enter if you need to redo the tally.
What if two rows have the same size?
Both are valid — the total just sums them. But it's cleaner to combine same-size rows using the quantity field.
Does batch mode support pricing?
